Many great saves by the Ice Dogs goaltender kept the game tied in the 2nd.
The third period is where end to end action kept the fans out of their seats. Two goals by the Ice Dogs 4 minutes in had the Rebels battling back. Realizing rebounds is what they would need to get by this goalie. Austin Cook burried his first of the season after Aiden Fluney shoveled it to the net(with his 2nd assist of the day).
Ice Dogs struck again with 4 minutes left in the game. Rebels down 4-2 signaled game on. Rush after rush they created a beauty goal by Cook(his 2nd of the day) Garret and Nathaniel Gibbons collected the assists.
Down by 1 the Rebels didn't give up and pushed hard, Garret jammed the net and tied the game up with 2.9 seconds on the clock. What a finish. 4-4 tie. Good start to the season
