A Weekend of Wins!
Your Township of Chatsworth "Barry's Construction" PeeWee LL#2 Rebels remain one of the three undefeated teams in both the North & South PeeWee LL loops in regular season play!
The Rebels packed the barn on Friday night when they hosted the Kincardine Kinucks #1 and came from behind to end with a 5-2 victory. Kincardine started the scoring at the end of the first period of play, but less than 2 minutes later Pearce Lacey would dump one in past the Kinucks goaltender, assisted by Dalan Frook.
The Kinucks would score the only goal in the second, giving them a one goal lead going into the third.
Rebels goaltender Devin Early would make sure that no more Kinucks would find the back of his net when he held off any scoring by the boys making some quick plays guarding his net.
The Rebels would add four more goals in the last 8 minutes of play to pull ahead and win the game. Frook would score our second goal on a beauty pass from Lacey (second assist to Ethan Harrison). Three minutes later Lacey would score his second of the game, assist going to Frook, second assist to Grant Stephen. Carson Torrie would take his turn dumping one in past the Kinucks goaltender on a pass from teammate Chris Hardman. The final goal of the game would go in by Frook on a pass from Lacey.
The boys then hosted the West Grey Warriors and would come away with their second WIN of the weekend.
With just under 2 minutes of play since puck drop - Carson Torrie would start off the scoring of the game on an unassisted goal.
In the second Torrie would score his second, assisted by Chris Hardman & second assist going to Grant Stephen. Just over a minute later the Warriors would sneak one in past Devin Early - but that would be their only goal of the game. Landon Heathers would add a point to our scoreboard just before the end of the period assisted by Pearce Lacey, second assist to Jack Murray.
Final period of play saw a hard fought back and forth game with the only goal being scored by Lacey with just over 1 minute left of play (unassisted).
