A WIN in Mount Forest with 10.5 seconds left to play
The Township of Chatsworth "Barry's Construction" PeeWee LL#2 Rebels traveled to Mount Forest and came from behind for a 3-2 victory.
Although the Rams opened up scoring early on in the first period and were ahead by 2, with the final minute left of play Jack Murray would find the back of the net on an assist from Jeremy Kirk who nabbed the puck on a pass from Pearce Lacey to put the Rebels on the board.
Neither team would score in the second, but the third period saw the Rebels dominate play. Shortly into the third, Dalan Frook would dump one in unassisted to tie the game up. Then with 00:10.5 left in regulation play Lacey would pass to Kirk who would pass to Murray who would shoot...& score!!! It was a déjà vu of sorts from the first period of play.
Goaltender Devin Early made some amazing defensive plays protecting his net and all the boys worked hard and fought back to bring the WIN home!
This team will travel to Lions Head this weekend to face off against the Bruce Peninsula Northstars...GOOD LUCK!
