What an exciting Friday night in Chatsworth as your TCDMHA “Gaviller & Company” Bantam C Girls played their fifth and final game of their Provincial Play-down series!
With advancement to the Provincial Championships on the line and in front of a VERY large crowd the lady Rebels hosted the Walkerton Capitals.
The Rebels scored first with Jessica Moran finding the back of the net 10 seconds into the first period. Before that first minute was up Walkerton answered back tying the game at one a piece. Walkerton would score again before the end of the first period giving them the lead.
Kassey Mustard scored the lone goal in the second period to tie the game once again before the 2nd period flood. Valerie Gibbons and Emily Moore were awarded the assists.
Emily Moore increased our lead by two in the third by firing two beauties past the Walkerton goalie – assists to Jessica Moran, Kassey Mustard & Skylar Golem. Although Walkerton scored once more to bring them within one...your Bantam Rebels held on to win the game 4:3!!!!
A great effort by the entire team!! These amazing 12 young ladies have become one of the top 16 Bantam C teams in the Province and will represent our region in the Provincial Championships in April!!
Your coaches, parents, families & friends are so proud of you!! Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer us on tonight! It was wonderful to see so many people out supporting our girls and filling the Chatty barn with so many Rebels fans was simply FANTASTIC!!!
