Two games & Two BIG wins for
the TCDMHA “Gaviller & Company” Bantam C Girls as they continue their
Provincial Play-down series.
Saturday night the ladies
travelled to Kincardine to meet the Kinnucks, who they have yet to beat this
season. The Chatty girls knew they
needed to leave it all on the ice and bring home the win...and they did just
that!!
The Rebels took the game 3:1 with some awesome goal tending by Emily Roney and defensive magic by Shannon Stryker, Madison Doig & Skylar Golem. Working just as hard up front, the mighty forwards put three beauties in the back of the net. Scoring were Emily Moore (assisted by Kassey Mustard), Grace Kuhl (assisted by Skylar Golem) & Kassey Mustard (assisted by Jessica Moran).
Sunday it was off to the Plex in Port Elgin to face off against the Storm. Grace Kuhl (unassisted) opened up the scoring with only 19 seconds left in the first period to give us the lead. Emily Moore (assisted by Valerie Gibbons & Carlie Cook) added another in the 2nd period and that would end the scoring for both sides. The Rebels took the game 2:0 and Hannah Mustard records the shut-out.
The girls have one more play-down game left against Walkerton on Friday night at home. If they can pull out one more win the ladies will secure 1st place and will be off to the Provincial Championships in April!! You can do it ladies...GO REBELS GO!!!!!!
