Back to back wins this weekend for the TCDMHA “Gaviller & Company” Bantam C Girls.
Friday night at home saw TCDMHA face off against the Walkerton Capitals. A full “healthy” squad showed what this team was made of, with a commanding 6:2 victory.
Rachel Aitcheson & Emily Moore each scored a pair for the Rebels while Jessica Moran & Carlie Cook added singles. Assists were awarded to Rachel Aitcheson (2), Grace Kuhl (2), and Madison Doig (2). Emily Roney also had a strong game between the posts.
Saturday afternoon the ladies travelled to the North Huron Wescast Community Complex to take on the Wingham/Lucknow 86ers. With only 8 skaters and a very large ice surface our small but mighty team battled hard for the win...and a win they got!!
Skylar Golem scored the lone goal in the first period to give us the lead heading into the 2nd. Jessica Moran & Emily Moore both found the back of the net in the 2nd but the 86ers answered back with three of their own to end the 2nd period in a tie game. Emily Moore scored the game winner late in the 3rd to give the tiny team the 4:3 victory!! Hannah Mustard made some key saves in the 3rd period to help with the win as did Valerie Gibbons, Carlie Cook, Madison Doig, Kassey Mustard & Shannon Stryker who were awarded assists on the night.
So proud of you ladies...way to go!!!
