McNabb Earns Shut Out!
TCDMHA Town & Country Garden Centre Midget B Rebels won their second game of Playdowns Saturday afternoon against the Markdale Shooting Stars.
With lots of back to back action, Lexy Horton would open the scoring for the Rebels half way into the first period.
Second period gave spectators lots of chances to cheer with lots of shots and some really great saves from both teams.
With the Rebels wanting to increase their lead and the Stars wanting to tie the game up, tensions on the ice were picking up in the third. With a scrum in front of the Stars net, Karlee Sweiger (Courtney Torrie, Horton) was able to knock the puck in past Elena Zago. With less than 2 minutes left in the game, the Rebels had 2 players in the penalty box, Stars with 1, the Stars would pull their goalie for a 6-4 attack in the Rebels end. The buzzer would signal the end of the game and a 2-0 win for the Rebels with the shut out going to Michelle McNabb!
Next Playdown action Sunday night in Chatsworth at 7:30pm against Milverton.
