Midget B Battle Through Quarter Finals
Hoping the weather held out for the Town & Country Garden Centre Midget B team, the girls traveled to Sarnia for the Annual Silverstick Tournament on the weekend.

The first game would match last years 2 final teams together in a battle.  Petrolia Oilers would get on the board first with a goal from Jenna Bolton, just minutes later for a second goal from Mackenzie Sleaford.  Rebels would respond with 14 seconds left in the first with a goal from Lexy Horton (Morgan Potter, Sid Vaivods).
Two goals in the second came from Petrolia from Taylor Pamham and Erica Vandersteen.
Rebels would hit the board one more time with just 2 seconds left in the game with a goal from Bailey Longland (Potter, Bri Cook) to end the game with a 4-2 loss.

Rebels would meet up with the Waterloo Ravens in the second game of round robin tournament action late Friday night.  Rebels would get on the board early in the first period with a goal from Courtney Torrie (Catherine Bradley, B. Cook).  Ravens would respond before the period was over with a goal from Rebecca Heidenreich.
Potter (B.Cook) made her mark early in the second with Torrie netting her second of the game before the period was over.
Third period scoring came from Karlee Sweiger (Torrie, Longland) to end the game with a 4-1 win.

The 3rd game would end in a 2-2 between the Rebels and the Ilderton Jets.  The Jets scored first with a goal from Shawneen Dayman and the Rebels did not respond to that goal until early in the 2nd period with their own goal from Torrie (Emily Vincent, B.Cook).
Third period scoring started with Torrie (Sweiger, Longland) netting her second of the game and the Oilers would tie it up before the period was over with a goal from Jill Zupancic.

Rebels moved on to the quarter final round which put them up against their league rivals, Grey Highland Shooting Stars.  The Stars would be the first to get on the board with a goal from Marissa Zago with just seconds left in the first period.
Second period would give the Stars two quick goals from Paige MacMillan and Amy Lipsett.  The Rebels would switch their goalies but the Stars followed up by one more before the period was over from Amy Lipsett.
Rebels battled hard in the 3rd period and were rewarded with 2 goals within 1 minute of play from Kristina Dyer (Amanda Cook, Bradley) and Sweiger (Torrie).   It just wasn't enough as the Stars would score one more from Nicole Ashton to end the game with a loss of 5-2 to put the Rebels out of the tournament.
