PEEWEE HL - FINALIST WOAA BUILDERS DIV.
What a weekend for the TCDMHA "Chatsworth Legion Branch 464" Pee Wee HL Girls.
This small but mighty team put on an amazing show this weekend as they
participated in the WOAA Pee Wee Year-End Tournament in Ayton.
Saving their best hockey of the season for the year-end tournament the lady Rebels started off with a win on Thursday night as they faced off against the Walkerton Capitals. Renee Farrow snuck one past the Walkerton goalie with a hard shot from deep in her own end to put the Rebels on the board. Natalie Stephens added two more beauties to give us the 3 to 1 win.
Game two was an action-packed game with lots of back and forth play by both TCDMHA & Saugeen Shores. Saugeen Shores was the first team to score mid-way through the third period but the Rebels did not give up. With an AWESOME goal by Natalie Stephens, assisted by Brontae Frook, the game was tied at one a piece. A final score of 1:1 left the Rebels in 2nd place and put them into the finals on Sunday morning.
Bright and early Sunday morning the mighty Rebels fought hard and like they have all season...made their fans UNBELIVEABLY PROUD. Facing off against Saugeen Shores once again, the excitement of game 2 had carried on to the finals. Another fierce battle with no score heading into the third period - fans were on the edge of their seats. But the Saugeen squad squeaked one past goalie Hannah Mustard late in the third to give them to lead. Despite intense pressure by our offensive squad the Rebels were shut out and lost the game 1 to 0.
These ladies played so well and the coaches and parents are very proud of what they have accomplished this season.
Way to go Ladies ~ Congratulations On A Fabulous Weekend and a Wonderful Hockey Season!!
