JOHNSON HAS 5 PT GAME
The Barry's Construction Atom LL Rebel's played
a strong game Sat. Jan. 7 against Shallow Lake #2 and came away with a 5-2 win.
The Rebel's forward line of Carson Torrie, Clayton Johnson and Grant Stephen were obviously well-rested after a long Christmas holiday, as they accounted for all 11 of the Rebel's points in the game!
Johnson scored the first goal of the game, assisted by Stephen Johnson tallied again in the first, unassisted. The Laker's Sagar Grenal got the opposition on the board at the end of the first period.
Torrie scored his first of the game in the second period, assisted by Johnson. Johnson got the hat-trick, with his third goal of the game, assisted by Torrie and Stephen. Torrie, not to be outdone, tallied his second of the game, assisted by Johnson and Stephen. The Laker's Luke DeBoer snapped one home to end the third.
A great defensive effort was put forth by partners Jack Scott and Hunter Courtney, and Talmon Ash and Darren Graham, shutting down the Shallow Lake offense many times throughout the game.
