Busy Weekend for Atom Girls
It was a busy but exciting weekend for the Homelife Bayside Realty Atom Girls
Saturday morning the ladies were up bright and early getting their "Christmas Around the World" float ready for the Chatsworth Santa Claus parade. The girls did an awesome job and a good time was had by all!
Next the ladies were off to Keady to face off against Durham for the second time this season. The girls kept the game close heading into the third period, but lost it 5 to 3 with two quick goals by Durham in the final minutes. Scoring for the Rebels were Gabby McNabb, Grace Kivell & Hannah Mustard.
Sunday the ladies made the long trip to Brussels & brought back the 2 to 1 win!! Grace Kivell scored early in the game with Kirsten Sutter & Abby Vokes assisting. Brussels tied it up in the 2nd period but with only 4 seconds remaining in the game Gabby McNabb got the game winner with Kirsten Sutter & Jessica Moran assisting. This was another excitement packed game by the Atom Girls ~ way to go!!
These busy Girls aren't going to call it a year just yet. They have 2 more games before they ring in 2011. On December 29th they will visit the Owen Sound Ice Hawks followed up with a visit to Mt Forest on December 30th.
