Busy Weekend for Atom Rep
The Great Lakes Frame Company Atoms had a busy hockey weekend. After  Friday night's close game with Mildmay, the kids were ready to play at  the Durham tournie on Saturday

They met Lucknow in an early 8am game and were the victors with a score of 3-1. Kaiden Legge's goal came
early in the second period while he was layed out on the ice.  Excellent demonstration of never giving up. Brandon Stewart added the second in the same period while Ty Mountain sealed it with his 3rd period goal.

The second game saw the Rebels facing the much rivalled Durham Huskies. It was an excellent game and the Rebels were winning by a score of 2-1 with three minutes remaining. Unfortunately the officials changed the pace of the game and the Rebels let one slip by on the pk.  With less than 2 minutes to go the Huskies found the back of the net once again and the Rebels were unable to tie it up. The final score was 3-2 and the Rebels played an awesome game!  Goals for the Rebels came from Zack Vokes and Mitchell McComb.

With the tornament finished the Rebels suited up for their final league game against Kincardine. The adrenaline was pumping and this was an exciting, physical game.  The defense had the nose for the net in this game with Zack Vokes and Carson English scoring for the Rebels.  Unfortunately Kincardine was able to slip in one more goal
than our guys and we lost 3-2.

This weekend proved to all the teams out there that the Rebels are ready and raring to go for the OMHA/WOAA play-downs. Ready or not, here they come!
