Final Playdown Game for Bantam C
Country Charm Mennonite Furniture Bantam C Rebels met up with Durham Huskies on our home ice on Friday night to play the final game of the first round of Playdowns.
With an extremely slow start to the game, Durham opened the scoring with Hannah Nelson putting one past Amandah Gill early in the 2nd period. Not to be outdone, the Rebels tied it up with a sweet goal from Caitlyn Golem (Kelli Bradley, Catherine Bradley).
The Rebels waited until the 3rd period to come alive and gave no mercy on the Huskies goalie. Starting the scoring in the third was Kristina Dyer (K. Bradley) followed by a quick backhand goal from Taylor Slater (Dyer). Couple of minutes later, Dyer (Emma Miller) netted another with Morgan Potter (Golem) following with one of her own. Less than 10 seconds later, Melissa Stirling shot one past their goalie unassisted and to end the game K Bradley (Potter) put the finishing touches on the game to end it at 7-1.
