Pringle Keeps Bantams in Game
In game 4 of the OMHA series between the AIR TECH MECHANICAL Bantams and the Teeswater Otters, Mackenzie Pringle showed how versatile a goalie he is as he saw lots of rubber, but still helped his team to a 4-3 victory.
The Otters scored the first goal of the game early in the second period with a goal by Joel Fischer. The Rebels Jeremy Torrie quickly replied with the Rebels first and then second goal (assists to Connor McCauley and Jamie Grey-Scott) to head into the third period with a 2-1 lead. Jamie Grey-Scott (assist to Torrie) then widened the lead for the Rebels with an early third period marker. The Otters' Tyler Fritz soon replied with a goal of his own to once again narrow the Rebels lead to one goal. However, only 9 seconds later, Cameron Stryker fired a puck past goalie Matt Borth to score what would be the game winning goal for the Rebels. Late in the third period, the Rebels received a penalty and the Otters pulled their goalie to give them a two man advantage. With only 6 seconds remaining in the penalty, the Otters' Joel Fischer then scored his second goal of the game. With 2:06 remaining on the clock and the Otters facing elimination, they tried everything in their might to sneak another shot by Mackenzie Pringle, but with no success. The Rebels win this first round of OMHA playdowns with 7 points on will go on to face the winner of Arran-Elderslie and Shallow Lake.
