Grey-Scott Scores Overtime Winner!
Jamie Grey-Scott scored with 3:10 remaining in overtime to lift the AIR TECH MECHANICAL Bantam Rep Rebels to a 5-4 victory over the visiting Teeswater Otters in OMHA Playdowns.
Game 3 of the series between TCDMHA and Teeswater was played in Chatsworth on Saturday afternoon. The Otters opened the scoring early in the first period with a goal by Brody Montgomery. Jordan Baumber from the Rebels tied the score at one with a goal assisted by Brendan Batterman and Myles Johnson. The Otters then scored their second marker with a goal by Adam Armstrong. However, the Rebels again quickly tied the score at two with a goal by Jeremy Torrie (assisted by Grey-Scott and Morgan Ottewell). The Otters again took the lead with a goal by Tyler Fritz to end the second period with a 3-2 score for Teeswater. Once again, the Rebels tied the game, this time with a goal by Brendan Batterman (assist to Joel Delleman). The Rebels Jordan Baumber scored his second goal of the game (assisted by Torrie and Ottewell) and gave the Rebels the first lead of the game. This was short lived as the Otters Adam Armstrong scored his second goal of the game to tie it up at 4. The game headed into overtime and Jamie Grey-Scott scored for the Rebels in a scramble in front of the net. Tyler Dietrich assisted. This gives the Rebels a 5 point to 1 point lead in the six point series. The next game is Monday evening in Teeswater.
