JEFF you are a dedicated volunteer always helping others THANK YOU!!!!

VOTE TODAY - Let's bring $100,000.00 to Owen Sound for Habitat for Humanity from the BRICK.  The community with the most votes WINS

The Brick is proud to be associated with Habitat for Humanity. We have been giving back to the community for the past 40 years, and the partnership with Habitat aligns perfectly with our joint goals: "Brick by Brick - Building Homes - Building Hope".

We were delighted to be able to sponsor our first Habitat home in 2012. The home was built in Stratford, Ontario as a result of that community's first place finish in our on-line challenge. This new Brick-sponsored Habitat House in Stratford was commissioned and completed this past summer.

We are ready to sponsor our next home. Where the Brick will build this Habitat home is totally up to you. We encourage you to vote for the community where you live, or where you would like to bring a home to a local family or neighbourhood. Habitat for Humanity's program is simple - families in need with the ability to repay a no-interest, no-profit mortgage work alongside Habitat for Humanity volunteers to build their own home. "It's a hand up - not a hand out" and Habitat actively delivers on this goal across 69 affiliates in Canada.

In addition to sponsoring the build in the winning community, The Brick will be engaged in team builds across the country.

Our partnership with Habitat for Humanity is a great example of our company's commitment to being leaders in our community, and is another opportunity that enables our employees to make a difference in the communities where they live and work.

Sponsors
Township of Chatsworth
Essentially a rural community, the Township of Chatsworth takes its flavour from the farmlands and forests surrounding it. We welcome visitors to stop and visit as you drive through central Grey County. Amalgamated January 1, 2000, the Township of Chatsworth is made up of the former Townships of Holland and Sullivan and the Village of Chatsworth. The Township population is approximately 8,000 in an area of 260 square miles. Agriculture is the most predominant industry in the Township. There are also a significant number of sawmills in the township, many operated by the Amish community. Tourism and recreation are a growing industry. The Niagara Escarpment, 6 county forests, numerous conservation areas, inland lakes and major rivers provide plenty of year round activities including hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and cross country skiing.
Township of Georgian Bluffs
Just a few hours from major Ontario cities, Georgian Bluffs is a collection of communities stretching north from Chatsworth to just south of Wiarton. Copper Kettle, Cobble Beach, Slough of Despond, Big Bay, Oxenden, Balmy Beach… these are just some of the names that paint a picture of the Georgian Bluffs canvas along the Georgian Bay Coastal Route. We have the natural beauty of waterfalls, the Niagara Escarpment and the blue waters of Georgian Bay just to mention a few of our natural amenities. We are a township for all seasons!
