Kreuger nets a hat-trick
The TCDMHA Bantam LL Rebels traveled to Port Elgin Friday battling the Saugeen Shores Storm #2 to a 5-5 draw.
The Storm opened the game scoring at 9:28 in the first period. The Rebels were able to hold the game until 3:34 left the Storm net one more in the first period.
Our boys really came together in the second period. 45 seconds into the period, Clayton Kreuger took a strong pass from Jake Hartman and net the Rebels first goal. Chris Hardman was quick to find the back of the Storms net scoring at 11:21 with Hunter Courtney and Jake Hartman earning the assists. At 9:24 Saugeen scored. The remainder of the second the Rebels fought hard and held the score until the end of the second.
Two minutes into the third period, the Storm scored their 4th goal of the game. The Rebels were not giving up! At 11:28 Clayton Kreuger had a clean breakaway tipping the puck into the Storms net. The Storm came back with their final goal at 3:51. Our boys finished the game off strong. With 2:58 Chris Hardman took a quick pass form Hunter Courtney taking a hard shot from the blue line finding the back of the Storms net. At 2:38 Clayton Kreuger tied the game up with an unassisted goal.
Hats off to our goaltender Lucas Moore for a game well played and a big thanks to Charlie Scott for coming out to help the Rebels battle the Storm.
