REBELS BATTLE THE BLADES
The Scotiabank Bantam HL Girls traveled to Teeswater on Saturday January 16 to battle with the South Bruce Blades.
This little team was even littler on Saturday and also had a little tiny bench staff! The girls hit the ice and skated hard, and did not stop skating for all three periods.
The first couple goals where made in the first period by South Bruce. But in the second period our girls persistence paid off and Aly Airdrie snuck a sweet one in past the South Bruce goalie with the assistance of Sara Boulter and Janna Wardell. South Bruce then answered with a goal of their own making the score 3-1, and that's where the score stayed.
In the third period both teams tried their best to score but neither goalie was giving up anymore goals.
The girls back on the ice Saturday January 23 at 11:30 am in Chatsworth against the Kincardine Kinucks, come on out and cheer them on!
