FLUNEY Earns SHUT-OUT in the Last Game of 2015
Friends come to meet and play hockey in the match between the two local Novice teams. Horton's Concrete played host to Desboro Tire in WOAA action on Dec. 30th. The fans were treated to a spectacular display of goaltending from Trevor McCarthy and Jacob Fluney.
Hunter McComb went hard to the net and was able to slip one under McCarthy after Neil Gilchrists rebound came right to him! The defence partners of Johnathon Farmer and Carter Frook as well as Logan Curtis and Austin Rasmussen stood strong in front of our net blocking shots and clearing the puck up the boards. It was on one of these heads up passes to Gilchrist who was able to connect with McComb for his second of the game. Desboro Tire wins the game 2-0 and continues on their hot streak through league play! Continued hardwork and discipline in 2016 will bring great things for these young players.
