The TCDMHA Town & Country Garden Centre Midget Rebel Girls headed to Walkerton late Friday. Gina McKee opened the scoring for Walkerton early in the first, but Valerie Gibbons answered back for the Rebels in the second with an assist from Peyton McCauley.
Sarah Bryans scored her first goal of the season to put the Rebels ahead, assisted by Amanda Zettle and Skylar Golem. They were able to hang onto the lead until late in the second when Mallorie Woods scored. Things got rough in the third, but both goaltenders remained strong and the game ended in a 2-2 tie. The Rebels are off to Wiarton on Monday night to face the tough Bruce Peninsula squad and then its Silver Stick action in Saugeen Shores this weekend. Good luck girls!
