ATOM REP OUT OF OMHAs - BUT MADE THEIR FANS PROUD AGAIN!
In the second and final OMHA play-down game against Shallow Lake, the 'Great Lakes Frame Co' Atom Rep REBELS were narrowly defeated AGAIN.

Lakers came out strong and dominated most of the 1st period. Despite the amazing defensive efforts of Jason and the rest of the Rebels, the Lakers did manage to sneak 2 goals in before the end of the period.
Momentum shifted early in the 2nd period when Colby McComb got a pass to Pearce Lacey ... who blew past the Lakers defence and made the long skate to the far end, where he strategically paused and fired the puck past Redmond.  Before the period ended, Jake Moran fired a hard shot that deflected off Redmond's stick into the net, to tie the game at 2.
Early in the 3rd ... in another pile-up of players in front our net, the Lakers snuck their final goal in to make it 3 - 2.  The Rebels tried their hardest to tie it up, pulling their goalie for most of the final 2 minutes ... but couldn't find the net.

Jason Rudolph-MacLeod had another awesome game, facing an incredible 41 shots.

After only losing 2 games all season, Shallow Lake deservingly moves on to the next round of OMHA play-downs.
We (The REBELS) wish our friendly rivals good luck!

Now back to us ...
The REBELS will be entering the Neilson Division Playoffs with a round robin - home and away - against Goderich AE, Listowel AE, West Grey AE and Saugeen Shores AE.  The playoff schedule will be posted shortly.

If we can keep up with Shallow Lake ... anything can happen in the WOAAs !

GO - REBELS - GO
