MIDGET "C" ADVANCE TO ROUND 2 of OWHA PLAYDOWNS
The TCDMHA Country Charm Mennonite Furniture Midget C Rebel Girls advanced to round 2 of their provincial playdowns.
They faced Owen Sound in game 1 last Sunday. The Rebels thought they had the game wrapped with a goal from Kristen Sweiger in the second period, but Becky Waring managed to put one past the Rebel goalie with 1:36 left in the game to end it in a 1-1 tie.
The Rebels played hosts to Saugeen Shore for game 2 this past Sunday. Jessica Bryans had 2 beauty shots that found the back of the net to put the Rebels up 2-0. Mackenzie Brown answered back for Saugeen late in the third, but it wasn't enough and the Rebels won 2-1. They are off to Southampton on Thursday for game 3 and Owen Sound returns to Chatsworth for the fourth and final game of the series on Friday. Good luck Rebels!
