WOAA Atom Girls Year End Tournament
The TCDMHA Atom Girls hosted the Atom Year-End Tournament this weekend at the
Keady arena
The entire Atom team along with many of the other Rebel Girls teams did a FANTASTIC job of show casing "TCDMHA" & how to pull off a great tournament. A special thanks to Debbie McNabb for all her hard work in organizing a very successful weekend and to the many volunteers who donated their time, their superior baking skills & to all those who donated prizes towards our raffle table! Your support of the Atom Girls is very much appreciated!!!
The first game for the Atom Rebels was played Saturday morning when the ladies faced off against Brussels. It was a hard fought battle with TCDMHA coming out on top with the 1 to 0 win. Jessica Moran scored a beauty in the second period with Samantha DeJong & Kassey Mustard assisting. Emily Roney recorded another shut-out.
In game two the ladies met the Walkerton Capitals but could not keeping the winning streak going. After a scoreless first period, the ladies were trailing 1 to 0 after the end of the second. But in the third period Walkerton netted 4 goals giving them the 5 to 1 win. Grace Kivell scored the lone goal for the Rebels with Gabby McNabb getting the assist.
This has been a great season for the Homelife Bayside Realty Atom Girls. Each and every player has improved immensely since the beginning of the season and have made their fans very proud. The ladies have one more Provincial Playdown game before they hang-up their skates for the season.
