AMAZING COMEBACK and O.T. WIN ... KEEPS THE STREAK ALIVE
The evening began with a white knuckle drive to Mount Forest where we were greeted by flickering arena lights.  The back-up generators kicked in every time the power flicked, so the WOAA playdown game went on as scheduled.

The 'Air-Tech Mechanical' BANTAM REP boys got off to a slow start in this fast paced, physical game.
The Rams seemed to control the play for the first 2 periods on their home ice, but it was the REBELS that managed to get on the board first.  With just 14.9 seconds left in the 1st period, Calvin Stewart fought for the puck in the corner, Clayton Kreuger picked it up, skated to centre and took a shot on net.  Austin McComb was right there to bury the rebound.

The Rams tied it up exactly a minute into the 2nd period, added a go-ahead goal at 12:34, and another at 9:02.
Hunter Schultz put in the rebound from Mitch Faust's shot at 6:35, assisted by Stewart, and the boys went into the intermission down 3 - 2.

The Rams struck early in the 3rd with a lucky deflection off one of their players in front of our net at 14:46, but the REBELS answered back on a power-play at 9:15 ... Faust got the puck back to Mitch Stevens and he skated the length of the ice and fired it in far side.
The Rams buried their own power-play goal at 5:21, but Faust found the back of the net just 15 seconds later, assisted by Stevens ... and it was 5 - 4.
The boys found themselves on another power-play with 4 minutes left in the 3rd, and jumped up to a 2-man advantage at 2:16.  Just as the 1st penalty had run out, Jordan Beirnes kept the puck in at the blue-line, passed it up to Wyatt Golem, and he centred it out to Austin King for the TYING goal at 2:03.
Àfter 3 complete periods: Rebels 5 - Rams 5 . . . but it was NOT over yet!

As this was a WOAA Playdown game, we were on to 10 minutes, sudden victory O.T.

The Rebels took control of this period and the majority of the action was in the Mount Forest end.  That is until the Rams sent a skater up to our blue line undetected, and he picked up the long pass and skated hard towards Lawson Cumming in our net ... Lawson SHUT HIM DOWN and saved the game !!!
The boys got control again and headed back down the ice.
Strangely at 2:03 again, Stewart got the pass to Faust and he FIRED THE WINNING GOAL high into the net.
Final Score: Rebels 6 - Rams 5

Township of Chatsworth
Essentially a rural community, the Township of Chatsworth takes its flavour from the farmlands and forests surrounding it. We welcome visitors to stop and visit as you drive through central Grey County. Amalgamated January 1, 2000, the Township of Chatsworth is made up of the former Townships of Holland and Sullivan and the Village of Chatsworth. The Township population is approximately 8,000 in an area of 260 square miles. Agriculture is the most predominant industry in the Township. There are also a significant number of sawmills in the township, many operated by the Amish community. Tourism and recreation are a growing industry. The Niagara Escarpment, 6 county forests, numerous conservation areas, inland lakes and major rivers provide plenty of year round activities including hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and cross country skiing.
Township of Georgian Bluffs
Just a few hours from major Ontario cities, Georgian Bluffs is a collection of communities stretching north from Chatsworth to just south of Wiarton. Copper Kettle, Cobble Beach, Slough of Despond, Big Bay, Oxenden, Balmy Beach… these are just some of the names that paint a picture of the Georgian Bluffs canvas along the Georgian Bay Coastal Route. We have the natural beauty of waterfalls, the Niagara Escarpment and the blue waters of Georgian Bay just to mention a few of our natural amenities. We are a township for all seasons!
