Howell Transport Rebels U15 Home- Opener
Howell Transport U15 Rebels hosted the Blyth-Brussels Crusaders in their home-opener at the Markdale Arena.

The devoted team came onto the ice in the first period, with great team spirit, and took the lead at 6:03 in the 1st period. The goal was scored by Number 32 Jake Oatt who received the puck from Neil Gilchrist. This gave the team an early lead and the Rebels went into the second period with their heads held high.

In the second period the Crusaders pushed back and managed to score their first and second goals of the game, but that didn’t affect the Rebels. They kept their head up and still had hope going into the 3rd.

With a flood and a quick pep talk from the coach, the players were ready for the 3rd period and were determined to take the game back. Unfortunately the Crusaders managed to get another goal which brought the score to 3-1. This didn’t bother the Rebels though, the team played hard and aggressively, then it all payed off when Jake Oatt scored again with a great assist from Hunter McComb. The score was 3-2 and soon after Kody Cook was able to tie the game with the help of Finlay Johnston. The Rebels fought hard the rest of the game, and it ended in a 3-3 tie. The U15 Rebels are looking forward to coming out on top when they play the Crusaders again in the future.
