The Boys from Concession 7 Get'er Done!!
The Township of Chatsworth "Howell Transport" Bantam LL played the Shallow Lake Lakers on Sunday, March 8th, 2020 at the Shallow Lake Arena. Wyatt Garren was in net for the Rebels for this game and there is NO place that he would rather be. The four o'clock start time meant that neither team was suffering the effects of a return to Daylight Saving Time.
The Rebels got on the scoreboard at 3:12 in the first period period when Andersen McComb buried the puck in the Lakers' net, from a nice pass from Emmitt Jackson right off of the face off. 1 - 0 at the end of Period One.
Andersen McComb lit the goal lamp a second time in Period Two. This time, it was Aiden Callahan-Cummins who fed the puck perfectly to McComb. The opposing goalie did not stand a chance!! Next up, McComb's Concession 7 neighbour, Maverick Lacey, scored, assisted by Emmitt Jackson, and Jake Oatt. The Rebels were functioning as a unit now!! 3 - 0 at the end of Period Two.
At 12:11 in Period Three, Maverick Lacey struck again and once again Emmitt Jackson set up the goal. Jeffrey Rodger also assisted this goal. At 10:32 Emmitt Jackson scored, assisted by Jeffrey Rodger and Robert LaFond. Wyatt Garren earned the shutout with timely glove saves and some nice stick work when it was needed.
