Did You Ever Wish You Could Replay the Final 25 Seconds of Period 2??
The Township of Chatsworth "Howell Transport" Bantam LL played the Bruce Peninsula Northstars Red on Saturday December 7th, 2019 at the Tara Arena.
The teams were an even match through much of the early part of the game. Both goalies were tested early on and both goalies kept the nets empty during Period One.
It was not until 9:16 in Period Two that Jackson Greig scored for the Rebels, assisted by Robert LaFond. It looked like the Rebels would win the period until Bruce Peninsula scored with just 25 seconds left on the clock. To make matters worse, Bruce Peninsula scored a second goal just 8 seconds after that. The Rebels came close to getting a goal of their own before time ran out in Period Two.
At 14:27 in Period 3, the Rebels tied things up with a nice goal from Brennan Snyder, assisted by Layne Edwards and Andersen McComb. Things were looking up for the Rebels. Rebel's Goalie Wyatt Garren turned away all attempts at scoring until 2:06 in the period when Bruce Peninsula scored their third goal of the game. The Rebels put a lot of pressure on the Northstars and almost tied things up in the final seconds of the game but it just was not meant to be.
