The
Chatsworth Legion Branch 464 Peewee Girls HL hosted the Saugeen Storm on Monday
night in Keady. Shaila Wellwood got the
shut out between the pipes in the Rebels 9-0 win!
In the first period, Keira McMann opened the scoring with a sweetheart of a goal assisted by Ally Dunn. Madison Barfoot scored the second goal of the period, unassisted, a minute later.
The Rebels kept the momentum going in the 2nd period. Tina Johnson scored unassisted in the opening minutes of play, followed by Miss Barfoot and Kassie Hesch assisted by Miss Barfoot.
The Rebels continued to shine in the 3rd period. Kassie Hesch got her second of the game in the opening seconds of the 3rd, assisted by Miss Dunn. Tina Johnson scored her second of the game in the 3rd. Grace Madill put the biscuit in the basket just past the halfway point of the period. Kylie Hesch scored the final Rebels goal late in the 3rd.
Shaila Wellwood was brilliant in net for the Rebels and got her first ever shut out.
A special shout-out to the Rebels’ defence, Mikaela Humphries, Grace Madill, and Ally Dunn, who played their hearts out in this game!
The Rebels play again on Saturday December 15th at 11am when they host the Kincardine Kinucks at Keady. GO REBELS!
