Winding up the regular season - Rebels style!
The TCDMHA Power Workers’ Union Midget LL Rebels closed out the 2018-19 regular season with a decisive win over the Saugeen Shores Storm 1 team last Sunday afternoon in Markdale.

Making his return to the crease after being sidelined with injuries for a good part of the season was veteran netminder, Devin Early.  If Devin had even the slightest question in his mind about his readiness to return to play, that ? was quickly and solidly replaced by !!!!!! as Devin made save after outstanding save, including breakaways, bullets, scrambles, and sniper shots.  He stopped them all, earning him a well-deserved shutout.  Welcome back, Devin!

On the offensive end, the Rebels got warmed up with a scoreless first period before they unleashed their canine fury in the second and the third.  Leading the bulldog pack with a point and an assist was Charlie Scott who scored the game winner from a pass by Jack Kivell.  Charlie later assisted on a goal by Carson Torrie.  The shot with the most flair came from Jake Hartman who got down on one knee before offering up a beauty set up by Talmon Ash and Jordan Longland.  (By the way, in case you’re wondering, the puck said, “Yes!”)  Final score: Rebels 3, Storm 0.

The playoff schedule starts next week, and the Rebels are ready to bust out and win their way to the division finals, with their eyes squarely set on the championship trophy.

GO, REBELS, GO !!!!
