The win streak continues!
The TCDMHA Power Workers’ Union Midget LL Rebels put up another check mark the W column with a 5-1 victory against the Hanover Falcons last Sunday in Markdale.
Josh Currie opened the scoring in the first period of Sunday’s game with an unassisted marker. Tiki Stockwell added the second point of the night on a pass from Brandon Lindstrom and assisted by Josh Currie. The Rebels put up a third unanswered goal by Chris Hardman, supported by Josh Currie and Wes Houston to close out the second period. In the third, Brandon Lindstrom tipped in a point shot from Tiki Stockwell, and Carson Torrie found home with a beauty assisted by Chris Hardman and Landon Heathers. Goalie Jason Rudolph-MacLeod played more than 36 of the 40 minutes with no goals against, coming SO, SO close to his sixth shutout of the season.
On a sad note, Rebels’ head coach Mike Liddiard has had to step down from the coaching position due to a job change. The team already misses Coach Mike’s enthusiasm and his positive support and encouragement of his players. Parents and players wish Mike the very best in his future endeavours.
