A six-pack of wins!
Well, they did it AGAIN!  The TCDMHA Power Workers’ Union Midget LL Rebels are in the middle of an impressive six-game win streak in the North Division that shows no signs of letting up soon – or ever!

With their signature whole-team effort – top to bottom, end-to-end, faceoff circle to goal crease – the Rebels have added another two points to their upper shelf scoreboard standings.  Aggressive forechecking has led to turnovers which has led to goals.  Relentless backchecking has prevented goals going the other way.   The wall of defence has been impenetrable and the goaltending nothing short of stellar.  Forget second effort – this team prides itself on third, fourth, fifth….  The bulldog spirit is in full force every minute of the game and never lets up.

The Rebels’ characteristic game play was most certainly in evidence at last Sunday’s game in Markdale against the Walkerton Capitals.  Tiki Stockwell opened the scoring in the first period on an unassisted turnover play in the Capitals’ zone.  Josh Currie ripped through their defence to add another unassisted beauty in the dying moments of the second.  Talmon Ash, who was running on high-octane fuel all game, found home with a sweet goal in the third period, set up by Jake Hartman and Charlie Scott.  Goaltender Jason Rudolph MacLeod adds yet another well-deserved shut-out to his whopping five-game season total with the 3-0 win – and it’s only the halfway mark!

Great team effort, boys!  Keep it up – you’re working hard and having fun and it shows!

P.S.  Special shout-out to defenceman (and sometimes centre) Jack Scott whose "Go-Go-Gadget" extra-long reach has been restricted for what is hoped will be a short recovery time.
