Spoiler Alert....This Game Goes Into OT!!
The Township of Chatsworth "Howell Transport" Bantam Local League Team played The Hanover Falcons on Tuesday, February 19th, 2019 at the Keady Arena. This team normally practices at the Keady Arena so it is no surprise that they love to play a good game on the same ice that they know and love.
Adam Gorman, one of the Rebel's hardworking Centres, started the scoring with not one but two solid goals in Period One. The first one came in at 6:33 and the second less than a minute later at 5:45. Both goals were unassisted. The Falcons were caught off guard and were held scoreless the entire period by the defence and by Rebel's goalie DJ Gamble. Two to nothing for the Rebels.
The Falcons scored their first goal of the game at 8:51 in the second period. Olivia Houston answered right back with a great goal at 6:21, set up strategically by Jack Diaz. The Falcons kept coming and scored at 2:20 to end the period. Three to two for the Rebels.
Period Three proved to be very interesting as well. The Falcons scored at 14:14. Jack Diaz answered back with a laser beam at 12:03, unassisted. The Falcons scored at 8:19, 7:15, and 6:31. Things seemed to be going sideways quickly and the Rebels had to regain control. At 6:06 Jack Diaz started things up again with another beauty, assisted professionally by Olivia Houston. At 1:11, Adam Gorman struck again with a fancy move in front of the net and a great backhand into the mesh. This was Adam's third goal of the night, if you were keeping track. Layne Edwards picked up the assist on this goal. The period ended in a 6 - 6 tie. This game was headed into OT!!
The OT period lasted all of 10 seconds, unfortunately, with the Falcons scoring very quickly. What a game!!

Congratulations to both teams!!
The Rebels will have a couple of practices in order to prepare for their next playoff games, one of which is a rematch with The Falcons. We are really looking forward to that one.
