A Tournament turned Champion!
The Township of Chatsworth "Howell Transport" Bantam Local League team enjoyed their first tournament of the season.  Visiting the throbbing metropolis of Clinton, Ontario the Bantams took the ice.

This was a three day tournament where our first game was on Day 2 and it was a late morning game so the travellers didn't have to get up to early.  Overall the game was evenly matched with the Hespler Bantam LL Shamrocks and the Rebels kept the game to a close 4-2 game but if they had just more time they could've made a win happen!

#21 Jack Diaz opened up the scoring in period 2 with and excellent break away goal taking away the oppositions shut out.  With mere seconds left #38 William Hoare found the back of the net with an assist from #24 Adam Gorman.  The momentum picked up but with 12.5 seconds on the clock there wasn't enough time to make it happen.

Now we wait to play again in 8 hours, yes you read correct this was a full tournament of games and we had to kill a little time.  The streets of Goderich will not be the same after this group took some time to hang out and get to know one another better.  Boston Pizza for lunch, Dollarama for some treats, Wal Mart for some TP Castle Building and a mini tournament at the local Bowling Alley - finished off the time at a local pub.

Game start was set for 8:50 and with several overtimes the tournament was behind one hour + ...... game started at 10:00 pm and they came racing out of the gates!

The Bantam LL team came together as a team and rocked a good game despite the score of 7-0 they passed, they skated hard, the made several great plays and almost everyone had a shot or two on the net.  The St Mary Rock deserved the win as they played hard and mirrored the Rebels on determination.

Honestly it was by far one of our Rebels best games played and it had a lot to do with a super fun afternoon!  The fans were not disappointed to learn the team would not advance in the tournament as no one wanted to make the drive back for a 9:30 am game when we left the arena at 11:30 pm!

Great job Rebels! Your fans look forward to cheering loud at your next game!
