Good Effort by the Bantam LL
The Township of Chatsworth "Howell Transport" Bantam Local League team traveled to the big town of Southampton on Saturday, November 17, 2018 to face the undefeated Saugeen Shores LL #1. For a Game Start of 7:00 pm we were off to a great start.
The first period proved to be our best defensive period ending the first ten minutes with only 1 goal scored by #6 Caleb Mason for the Storm. Our Rebels defended their end and partnered it with good end to end play. #21 Jack Diaz and #38 William Hoare had many great break out attempts and continued to play hard the next two periods.
The second period was a little shakier and 3 goals snuck by our players while Goalie DJ Gamble did his best to defend the net. They continued to fight back and forth and there were several good shots made this period on the Storm Goalie Blain Ribey but they just couldn't sneak one by him. Nonetheless #26 Amelia Patterson did a great job of moving the puck alongside of #34 Avery Ash who continues to work hard to get the puck into the zone.
Moving onto the third period and this is where things started to slow down a bit as 4 goals were scored by the Storm, four goals scored by #4 Jonathon Marques over the entire game. Kudos to his team mates #6 Caleb Mason and #16 Riley Beauchamp for two goals each.
Great effort by our entire Local League team and overall each and every game they continue to improve and are getting to know each other better. Shout out to #36 Sophie Perry for giving the boys are hard time on the ice and to our defensive team of #32 Makaleyn Moore and #37 Jamie Norman who overall had a great game. This practice play will play off in the next few months for sure!
