One Shy of a Sittler
This afternoon in Lions Head, the RF King Excavating Atom LL Rebel winger Owen Cooke almost equalled Darryl Sittler's NHL points in a single game record of 10 points. Owen tallied 9 points in a lopsided affair.
The temporarily formed BOS line saw Owen score 7 goals and 2 assists, Simon Potter 1 goal and 6 assists, Braden King 1 goal 2 assists. Conlan Couch chipped in with a pair of assists while Riley Roblin and Duncan Hofmann added single markers. While Dane Snyder, Kayden Kirk and Rogan Vanstone didn't make it on to the game sheet they contributed heavily towards the Rebels not allowing a shot against for all 3 periods. Liam Cooke (Owen's brother) was credited with the shutout. I am guessing the Cooke van was quite animated on the drive home. Excellent job Rebels!
