Wild Weekend
Submitted By Shelley Jackson on Saturday, December 1, 2018
The RF King Excavating Atom LL Rebels earned a win against each Owen Sound Jr Attack team this weekend.  Friday night in Owen Sound the Atom Rebels dominated in a much deserved win against LL Gold.  The win could not have come at a better time as the Rebels have been  practicing hard and were happy to get a positive result for their efforts.

In Friday's 7-1 win Rogan Vanstone led the way with 4pts counting 2 goals and 2 assists.  Braden King sniped a hatty while Duncan Hofmann and Simon Potter chipped in with one apiece.  Hofmann and Potter added 2 and 1 assists respectively.  Kayden Kirk and Owen Cooke also supplied assists.  The 7-1 win would not have been possible without the very strong play of our defence and goalies.  The D were relentless in holding the puck in the offensive zone which helped create numerous opportunities.  Our goalies stood tall and made saves when we needed.Saturday at Home the Rebels outworked a strong LL Red and earned a convincing 4-2 win.  Our goalies and defence were the stars of the show this game as both goalies Liam Cooke and Justin Nagel made timely saves shot after shot.  The defence corp of Dane Snyder, Matthew Casemore, Billy Catto and Conlan Couch showed off their abilities to get the puck out of our end and keep it in their end.  Owen Cooke, Rogan Vanstone, Simon Potter and Braden King controlled the boards with their strong play and Kayden Kirk, Riley Roblin and Duncan Hofmann were excellent in support.  King scored a pair, Hofmann and Potter each scored one.  Roblin, Vanstone and Snyder each had an assist.  Solid weekend for the team and hopefully a sign of things to come.
