Midget Rep Undefeated in Regular Season Play
The Township of Chatsworth and District, Moggie Valley Timber Inc, Midget Rep Rebels were on the road for back to back games.  Neither game was pretty but the Rebels did get 2 W's,

On Thursday night, the Rebels were back in Wingham for a late night game against the Ironmen. Despite their flat play, Rebels opened the scoring early in the game with a beautiful pass from Jakob Moran right onto the stick of Brandon Stewart who made no mistake and blew one by the Wingham netminder.  Just over a minute later, Austin McComb also found the back of the net with assists to Dalan Frook and Jordan Beirnes.  The Ironmen responded before the end of period one with a goal of their own in the final minute of play to bring them back within 1.
Period 2 started with a chances at both ends of the ice and left Rebel goalie Lawson Cumming facing a number of odd man rushes and breakaways.  Rebels were the first to draw blood in period 2 when with 4:27 left in the period Jay Rourke found the back of the Wingham net with the help of Clayton Kreuger and McComb, but the Ironmen responded less than a minute later to once again reduce the lead to 1.  Rebels returned to the 2 goal lead a minute later when Stewart and Moran combined again - this time goal to Moran.  The Rebels weren't finished and fired another into the Ironmen net when Hunter Schultz.  Mason Hanna and Jay Rouke broke out with only seconds in the period and the three combined to find the back of the net as Rourke scored his second of the game on a great pass from Hanna.
The 5 - 2 lead going into the 3rd was a cushion the Rebels took advantage of as they spent almost the entire period with at least one player in the penalty box.  Despite the penalty minutes, Schultz managed to beat the Ironmen goaltender with assist to McComb.  The Rebels hung on to finish the game 6 - 2.
Then on Friday, the Rebels were in Ripley to face the newly amalgamated Huron Bruce Blizzards.  The level of game was raised from the previous night and the game was far more even than the score suggests but Rebel goalie made some spectacular saves at the Rebel end of the ice.  Austin McComb scored approximately 3 minutes into the game with the assists of Austin King and and Clayton Kreuger.  The play continued with the Rebels keeping the puck in the Blizzards end much of the time, but the Blizzards also had a number of scoring opportunities.  McComb extended the Rebel lead to 2 in the latter half of the second with the help of Curtis Wade and King but Blizzards snuck one inside the far post of the Rebel net in the dying seconds of the second to cut the lead in half 2 - 1.
Rebels really opened it up in the third.  Schultz scored at 13:26 assisted by Beirnes and Wyatt Golem .  Calvin Stewart scored less than a minute later (assists to brother Brandon and Moran) and Curtis Wade passed to Dalan Frook who scored a goal of his own less than 30 seconds later.  Wyatt Golem did it all on his own when he fired one from behind the goal line and ricocheted it in off the Blizzard defense man and goaltender and into the net.
Thanks to some great saves by Lawson Cumming, the Rebels held on to win the game 5 - 1.
Thus far, the Rebels are 3 0 0 on the regular season, however, there are many higher ranked opponents ahead.  The Rebels face off against the Mount Forest Rams on Sunday in Markdale  and then travel to Walkerton to  face the Capitals Monday at 9 pm.
Go Rebels Go!!!
