The Road to Provincials Begins
The Legion Branch 464 Peewee C Girls started the road to Provincials in Keady on Saturday.  Two of Five teams will be heading to Provincials in Toronto in April with the first game in the round robin series against Kincardine.

The girls started the game on their heels as Kincardine took a 1-0 lead on a goal near the end of the first period.

The Rebels showed more hustle in the second to tie the game on a goal by Karissa Rasmussen with assists by Morgan Sinclair and Julia Sutherland.  Rasmussen then added another near the end of the period to take a 2-1 lead.

In the third, Julia Sutherland got 2 goals assisted by Alisa Christie to end the game with a 4-1 win.

The defence again played well keeping Kincardine at bay, protecting the goalie and limiting them to 10 shots against.

The next game in playdowns is Monday in Owen Sound.
