TCDMHA Country Charm Bantam B girls had 2 big wins this weekend
The Team first hosted the Woolwich Wild in Tara on Saturday and Alyssa Turnbull was able to get the first shut out of the weekend with the Bantam B girls winning 3-0. The first goal was scored quickly in the first period as the team came out with speed and Summer Roney was able to tip it in the net assisted by Maggie Klunder! Klunder was quick to get a goal of her own scored on her next shift out! This gave the team a 2-0 lead for the remainder of the game until the third when the wild had pulled their goalie and Maizy Hutchinson slid the puck down the ice and was able to net a beautiful empty netter!! This gave the team a 3-0 victory!
Game 2 was a late game on Sunday down in Guelph! The girls we persistent and kept the pace but the first period was scoreless! Wasn’t until later in the second that the team was able to score! Jenna Bridge was able to net that first goal assisted by Meghan Prentice and not even a minute later Maggie Klunder scored assisted By Tara Meikle and Summer Roney! The girls were not finished with the Gryphons yet as they were battling back defensively but then Maizy Hutchinson as able to get one more goal assisted by Emma MacDonnell. Laura Naves would earn the second shut-out of the weekend for Rebels.
The girls have one more regular season game on Saturday January 20th in St.Clements against the Twin Center Hericanes. This will be a great game to finish off regular season!!
