Closing in on the end of 2017 with 4 POINTS
The Country Charm Bantam B girls are headed into the holidays with 4 points in the bank with another 2 points laying in the wait for them next weekend.

Last weekend started in Tara against Wilmot, with one of our goalies doing stats from the side lines, (suffering from a non hockey related injury).  Alyssa took to the pipes with a cold that seemed to render her speechless to earn her 1st shut out of the weekend in a 2-0 game.  Helping the rebels fill their bench Jenna Bridge flew off of the ice from her team to join ours, thanks Jenna!!!  The rebels 1st goal was scored by Kaitlyn Nickason showing her hockey smarts she kept the puck inside the Wilmot blue line stepped around the pressuring Wilmot team to sneak one past the tender.  Our 2nd goal was assisted by Abby  with her shot from the point that created a scramble in front of the net where Aubrey found the puck to put it away.  The girls had to work extra hard in the dying seconds of the 3rd with a man short and Wilmot pulling their goalie for the 6th attacker to protect Alyssa’s shutout, there was a few tense moments but the Rebels prevail.

On Sunday our game started with a short drive to Kitchener to face the Lady Rangers.  The girls took advantage of the large ice pad using their speed and hockey sense to find open ice to move the puck smoothly all game.  Tara opened the scoring late in the 1st with great patience to find the hole to the back of the net.  The girls maintained this one goal lead until mid way in the 3rd when Alex sent a shot through from the point that bounced off of a Ranger  player putting the Ranger goalie out of position allowing the puck to make its way over the goal line for the 2nd time in the game.  This would prove to be the final goal of the game for either team with Alyssa earning her 2nd shutout for the weekend.

On the 23rd the girls hit the ice for the last time before the holiday break when they meet the Rams.  The Rams handed the ladies their 1st loss of the season nearly 2 months ago.  The girls will be looking to redeem themselves against these ladies with home ice advantage.  Lets get out there and cheer on these girls as they push to earn their last 2 points in 2017!!!  GO REBELS!!!
