3 Point Game for Calhoun
The Township of Chatsworth and District "Moggie Valley Timber Inc." Midget Rep Rebels, downed Central Perth, by a score of 6 -3, on Sunday in Markdale.

As the game began, the play was end to end with a number of scoring chances at both nets.  Good scoring chances were denied by goalies at either end of the ice and the score remained tied at 0 until, with less than 2 minutes left the in first period, Central Perth, slipped one into the Rebel net.
Central Perth maintained their one goal lead into the second when the Rebels scored 4 unanswered goals.  The first came less than a minute and a half into the second when Wyatt Golem passed back to Cory Rasmussen on the point who fired towards the net and Tyler Calhoun redirected it for his first point of the game.  Less than a minute later, Calhoun set up Trenton Chegahno who found the back of the Central Perth net and the Rebels took the lead 2 - 1.  At the midpoint of the game, Mitch Stevens increased the Rebels lead to 2 and, less than a minute later, Golem set up Calhoun, giving him 2 goals and an assist in the game.
But, despite being down 4 - 1, Central Perth wasn't finished.  They scored again to close out the second and then pulled with in 1 on a powerplay goal to start the 3rd.  Central Perth applied intense pressure on the Rebels as they let lose with a barrage of shots, pushing to tie the game at 4.  Rebels managed to keep the puck out of their net and held on to the lead.  With just over 3 minutes left in the game, Cody Cunningham broke out and scord a short handed goal to relieve the pressure and give the Rebels a multipoint lead.  This goal tipped the flow of the game back in favor of the Rebels who took control.  Jordan Beirnes scored from the point to give the Rebels a 6 - 3 lead and though both teams continued to push right to the end, 6 - 3 remained the final score.
Rebels hope to turn this win into a streak as they face off against the West Grey Warriors in Durham at 9 pm on Thursday and vs. the Drayton Defenders Sunday at 2 p.m. in Markdale.
Lets go Rebels!
