Midget Rep Move to 2 & 0 vs Sepoys
The Township of Chatsworth and District "Moggie Valley Timber Inc." Midget Rep Rebels faced off in the PERC against the Lucknow Sepoys on Monday and came away with a solid win.
Brandon Stewart got the Rebels on the board when he found the mesh between the Sepoys pipes one minute into the first period. This lone goal remained during the first and several minutes into the second. Then, Lucknow tied the game at one but, within seconds, the Rebels put another one by the Lucknow netminder to regain the lead as Hunter Schultz banked one off Stewart and into the net.
Lucknow pushed hard to even the score, but Rebels goalie Ty Mountain stood strong and made some amazing saves to allow the Rebels to maintain their lead. Three and a half minutes into the third, the Rebels put their passing game on display as they took control of the puck and moved it around in the Lucknow end. Tyler Calhoun passed behind the Lucknow goal to Wyatt Golem who placed it on the stick of Austin McComb as he waited out front. McComb put it in the back of the net before the goalie had a chance to move and the Rebels led 3 - 1.
Calhoun scored a goal of his own 2 minutes later as he rushed in on a pass from Zac Nicol. Lucknow didn't give up but Mountain turned them aside and after 3 it was 4 -1 in favour of the Rebels.
Rebels face the always tough Shallow Lake Lakers Thursday, 8:30 in Shallow Lake. Let's go Rebels!!!
