Strong finish in the dying minute of the game
The Township of Chatsworth and District "Town and Country Nursery and Landscaping Centre" Midget Girls C took to the ice in Markdale on Saturday morning for a game against South Bruce.  A strong finish in the dying minute of the third keeps the crowd on the edge of their seats.

South Bruce scored twice in the first to open up a 2-0 lead.  Delaney Crowe found the back of the net in the second before South Bruce answered back with their third of the game.   South Bruce pulled further ahead at the mid-point of the third period to make it 4-1.  Feeling the pressure the girls dug in and found something in reserve.  Hannah DesRoches scored on assist from Sam DeJong.  Ashlynn Stephenson stayed strong in the net for the Rebels but it looked as though it was just not meant to be for this game.  With 1:20 left in the game Martine Perry buried the puck with assist to Hannah.  With momentum on their side and strong defensive play, Keyanna Kimewon was able to slam in another with 15 seconds left and the Rebels finished it with a 4-4 tie.

Hopefully the girls will remember how things can go when they play as a team as they head to Exeter for the Pink on the Rink Tournament this coming weekend.  Good luck and have fun girls!
