9 DAYS and 5 GAMES
The 'Air Tech Mechanical' BANTAM LL2 boys have had a busy week and despite playing the top two teams in the league with a shortened bench, they have pulled out a respectable 1-2-2 record.

Saturday Nov. 4 vs Saugeen Shores in Tara
The boys came out strong, with Jake Moran skating down and firing the puck in under the goalie's pad just 30 seconds after it dropped.
Christian Routenburg-Evans sent a pass over to Jake and he was gone again with a high shot into the far side of the net at 11:28 in the 2nd.
Austin King stole the puck at the boards, skated in and fired his own high, far side at 10:26.
Kinger deked the goalie and scored short-handed, assisted by Dylan Ledingham at 6:35, before the Storm finally answered back sneaking one in the corner of our net to end the 2nd period 4 - 1.
Dylan centered another pass that Jake picked up and went in to complete his hat-trick at 12:13.
Jake added 2 more before the buzzer with hard shots from the blue line at 8:02 and 2:27.
FINAL SCORE: REBELS 7 - STORM 2

Sunday Nov. 5 vs Arran-Elderslie in Tara
With a couple REBELS under the weather, it was the Ice Dogs that got on the board first.  They added a 2nd with an unfortunate deflection off our own player, before Wes Houston's quick hands buried Jake's rebound.
A smooth skating Ice Dog weaved his way through everyone and slid the puck in the side of our net to go up 3 - 1.
Jake finally found the back of the net to close the gap to 1 ... but AE managed to answer right back.
Kinger shot out from behind the net and somehow bounced the puck off the goalie's back into the net, and the Ice Dogs' skater wove his way down one more time and netted the final goal of the game.
FINAL SCORE: REBELS 3 - ICE DOGS 5

Friday Nov. 10 vs Saugeen Shores in Southampton
Playing down a man due to an injury the weekend before, the REBELS hit the ice against the Storm's full bench of 15 skaters.  It was a very even match up with action at both ends of the ice.
Daniel Mustard sent a rocket from the point and it was right on target for his 1st goal of the season.  The Storm answered back and went up by 1 early in the 3rd.  The REBELS successfully killed off some penalty minutes and Wes fired in the tying goal midway through the period.
FINAL SCORE: REBELS 2 - STORM 2

Saturday Nov. 11 vs Kincardine Froster's in Kincardine
Again, down a man on the huge ice at the Davidson Centre, the boys were up to the challenge and worked hard.
We are always amazed with the talents of Jason Rudolph-MacLeod in our net, but today he was instrumental in the outcome of this game stopping a whopping 40 SHOTS!!!
Christian Routenburg-Evans recorded his 1st career goal as a REBEL on a perfect 2 on 1 pass from Wes in the 2nd period, and Jason held the Kinucks back until during some confusion at our net with our player being held down without a call, the puck snuck into our net with just 45 seconds left on the clock.  TOUGH ONE!!!
FINAL SCORE: REBELS 1 - KINUCKS 1

Sunday Nov.12 vs Kincardine 2 in Markdale
We knew this would be a challenging game against the undefeated, league leaders ... and we were playing it with 9 skaters :(
Jason was on fire in net, facing another 50+ SHOTS!!!
The Kinucks took the lead at 4:06 in the 1st, but near the end of the 2nd Wes took control of the puck, passed it over to Alex DeJong at centre ice and he pushed through their defence and let the puck go high into the net to tie the score at 2:08.  With just 13 seconds left in the period, the Kinucks shot, Jason made the stop, but the loose puck trickled over the line ending the period 2-1.
After the flood Kincardine added another at 10:40, before Wes "the play maker" Houston set Alex up for his 2nd of the game ... a beautiful one-timer high in the net at 5:06.
During a lengthy stay in our end in the final minute of the game, the Kinucks were able to score the final goal with a hard shot that flew just under the cross bar.
FINAL SCORE: REBELS 2 - KINUCKS 4

Rest up boys ... the Lambton Shores Silver Stick starts Friday.
