New Teammates, New Season ...
We've got an interesting group of guys, with many different skill levels to make up the AIR TECH MECHANICAL Bantam LL 2 team.  Not knowing what to expect ... they've  already proven they are up for the challenge!

There is a lot of work to be done, but the REBELS are off to a great start with 2 games in and 2 Wins recorded.

October 15th - With just one practice behind them,  the boys took on the Kincardine Froster's squad on their new home ice in Markdale, and came away with the victory.
Jason Rudolph-MacLeod was solid in our REBELS net making many of his famous glove saves.
Jake Moran lead the scoring with a hat-trick (2 unassisted and the other assisted by Wes Houston)
Tanner Timbers scored his 1st career goal, assisted by Moran ... and Austin King finished them off with an unassisted empty netter at 0:35.
Final Score: REBELS 5 - KINUCKS 2

October 29th - It was a very close battle with excellent goal tending at both ends of the ice.
The 1st and 2nd periods went by scoreless, and it was the Hanover Falcons that were the first to get on the board with a deflection into our net at 14:23 in the 3rd.  Our REBELS battled hard and finally at 3:19 Wes Houston drove to the net with the puck, where the Falcons' defence took him down, and Austin King knocked in the rebound.
In a strategic coaching move, Kinger got Moran the puck at centre ice and he raced down and fired the winning goal high in the Falcon's net with 2:00 left on the clock.
The REBELS were able to hold the Falcons back for those final 2 minutes, switching to defensive mode while the visitors pulled their goalie for the man advantage.
Final Score: REBELS 2 - FALCONS 1
