This was Desboro Lions Club Atom C team's first match up against Mount Forest.
Two minutes into the first there was a great pass from Jalaynah Moore and a nice move by Jessie Murray that led to her goal.
It was Mount Forest in the second that managed to get loose and score on a breakaway.
Despite lots of time in the opponent's end the score remained 1-1 until late in the third until Alisa Christie applied pressure and caused a turnover. This resulted in a goal and the game winner by Shaelynn McKee. Thirteen seconds later Christie found Tina Johnson who fired It a hard shot to the mesh giving them the insurance goal and 3-1 final score.
Defensively this team is incredible and in this game only allowed 3 shots on their goaltender.
It was Alisa Christie who earned the pink helmet in this one!
