WOAA Maroon Division Local League Champs
The Howell Transport Bantam Boys are the 2016-2017 WOAA Maroon Division Local League champions after defeating the Kincardine Kinucks to win game 3 of the series 2-1.
Opening the scoring for TCDMHA was Dalan Frook from Talmoon Ash midway through the second. Kincardine's Robert McGregor tied the game with 3.49 remaining. Then with 2;36 remaining on the clock Chris Hardman fired a beauty slap-shot that flew past the goalie top shelf to be the game winner. Assists to Josh Currie and Landon Heathers.
Congratulations to the Howell Transport Bantam Boys on an outstanding season ending the season with the 35-2-6 record, winning the 2017 Elaine Irwin Memorial Tournament, 2017 Max Partlo Memorial Tournament and finishing the season with the WOAA Maroon Division League Championship. Actually the season finished when the coach received a new and the boys shaved his beard.
