Total team effort earns tie against undefeated Hanover Falcons
With their recent win streak snapped in a 5-1 loss against Shallow Lake last Monday, the Horton Concrete Novice Rep Rebels headed to Hanover to face the undefeated Falcons Sunday.  Challenged by the coaches to give a total team effort and engage in every battle the boys did not disappoint.

Rebels goaltender Jacob Fluney was his usual stellar self and made many key saves to give his teammates a chance to give the Falcons their first regular season defeat.  Despite his best efforts, however the Rebels ended the first period down 1-0.  Building on the positive start the Rebels continued to plug away and were eventually able to pull even when Matthew LaFond made a nifty move to break in alone and beat the Falcons 'tender high to knot the score.  Assists to Carter Frook and Hunter McComb.  The period would end with the same score.  The third period was more of the same as both teams waged a even battle, exchanging scoring chances.  It would be the Rebels who would pull ahead with 4:45 left on a goalmouth scramble that Frook was able to bury (twice apparently), assisted by Jhett McKee and McComb.  The lead would not last long though as Hanover was able to pull even with just 3:08 left to play.  Undaunted the Rebels pressed on and had several good scoring chances in trying to pull out the win, but in the end had to settle for a hard-earned single point.  Great job boys.  Next action is a home game tomorrow night vs Walkerton.
