22016 WOAA Novice C Girls Consolation Champions!!!
The TCDMHA Novice C Girls travelled down to Ripley on Saturday, April 2 for the WOAA play off tournament and won the Consolation Final. The first game of the day was against a strong Owen Sound Ice Hawks team who defeated the Rebels 3-0.  The girls then advanced to the Consolation Final to face the Saugeen Shores Storm later in the day.

In their final game, the Rebels came out blazing strong with Jalaynah Moore getting her first goal of the season early in the first period (assisted by Julia Mountain and Shaelynn McKee).  The Rebels continued to dominate against the Storm and Claire Torrie got the final two goals for the Rebels with a assists from Jessa Rutter and Lila Warrilow respectively to win the game 3-0 and earn the 2016 WOAA Consolation title. Thanks to Bree Wilkins and Tina Johnson for their great work minding the Rebels net this weekend.

All in all, it has been a season of many firsts for this new young team ~ first year of hockey, first goals, first assists, first tournaments, first time goalies and it has been an amazing watching this team develop as the year progressed.  These girls have come so far since first stepping on the ice and everyone involved should be proud of all their accomplishments this year.  Thanks to all the players, coaches, hockey buddies and parents for all your support and for making it a great fun filled season!!!
