One Incredible Comeback
The Xtreme Heating Pee Wee Local League Rebels opened their playoffs with an amazing come from behind overtime win over the Kincardine Kinnucks on Saturday. The first period started off with both teams getting chances and play moved from end to end until the Rebels opened up the scoring half way through. Landon Heathers went end to end with a great rush with an assist from Charlie Scott.
(CUE THE UNPLANNED NAP) Kincardine replied with a goal less than a minute later and then another making the score at the end of the first 2-1 Kinnucks. The second period was not any better for the boys as Kincardine put three more into the net to push the lead to 5-1 after the second. The Kinnucks would add a sixth goal to start the third.
(CUE THE COMEBACK) The Rebels would finally wake up as Dillon Fry would get a pass from Dalan Frook and break away from the defender to score with 11 minutes left in the game. Frook would add one a minute later with an assist from Liam Harrison. With about 5 minutes left Frook would score again unassisted, making it 6-4. Dalan would complete the natural Hat Trick scoring again with an assist from Adam Gorman, to bring us to within one. With a minute thirty left Charlie Scott would bring us all the way back with another assist going to Gorman. Excitement fill the Rebels bench as the period ended with a score of 6-6.
The excitement continued as the boys would score two minutes into the extra period. Charlie Scott would score on a pass from William Hoare. This was an amazing game to experience, proving that it ain't over until it's over. Great job Team
